BNV Finals: Philadelphia Round Two (by YOUTHSPEAKS)
When people think of sustainability, they usually think of things like the environment, global warming, carbon dioxide, reusable water bottles, farming, buying local, composting, biking to work, energy and water conservation, and the like. But in order to more fully think about sustainability, we must ask ourselves what it is we want to sustain. One of the most important things we need to sustain, or restore and then sustain, are relationships and our sense of community whether at the local or global level. While I’ll make posts about more mainstream notions of sustainability, I’ll also post things like this video, which provides powerful social commentary, to spark deeper thoughts about what sustainability is all about in its totality and hopefully inspire people to work towards a more sustainable future.
